  • August 1 – Learn about the open seats in the city elections this fall, how to qualify to run, and how you can work to help elect who will be running
  • July 4 – The Floyd County Democratic Party invites you to our FREE Go Blue BBQ on the 4th of July.
  • June 6 – To celebrate and acknowledge Pride Month, we’ll hear from a panel of members of the Rome/Floyd County LGBTQ community about their experiences and how they intersect with the interests of the FCDP party.
  • May 2, 2019 – Goal setting for the FCDP. Help us set targets for meetings, topics, budgeting and fundraising as we move forward in our goal to turn Floyd blue!
  • April 4, 2019 – Learn about Romanos Unidos & elect state party members
  • March 7, 2019 – Membership Party at Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 35 Hobson Way in Rome
  • February 2019 – No meeting due to Hearts United Gathering IV
  • January 3, 2019 – Elections for County Party officers.
  • December 4, 2018 – Join us for conversation, conviviality & like-minded companionship at our regular meeting time. Refreshments provided, but feel free to bring snacks & treats to share.
  • November 1, 2018 – FCDP office, 510 Avenue A SW, Rome, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Drop by any time to help us TURN THIS ELECTION. We will make calls and send texts to Democrats who haven’t yet voted to secure their votes in 2018. As always, we’ll have refreshments and you can hang out with other great Democrats!
  • October 4, 2018 – Join us for presentations and training for canvassing and phone banking. Experienced canvassers and phone bankers will offer tips and role playing. Time allowing, we’ll test out our skills with some actual work on the phones and/or on the pavement.
  • September 6, 2018 – Fred Swann, Democratic candidate for Georgia Agriculture Commissioner, will join us to share his ideas on how Georgia can have an “agricultural system that works for everyone.” Come hear his plans for protecting small family farms, revitalizing rural economies, enhancing animal welfare, ending food insecurity and other key points of his platform and bring your questions.
